About Us
The Kvinnelig Foundation is a private family foundation established in 2024 by Cindy and Mark Polich. The purpose of the Foundation is to operate and fund programs which support, sustain and empower women in three areas of focus: empowering women in the performing arts, sustaining Mother Earth, and supporting maternal mental health.

Governance
The Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors comprised of members of the Polich family. This body meets a minimum of four times each year to determine the organization's policies and programmatic directions. It also serves as a forum for discussion and instruction in matters related to the philanthropic interests of the family. At any given time, a minimum of four and a maximum of six family members will sit on the Board for two-year terms.

Scope of Program Funding and Grantmaking
The Kvinnelig Foundation places few constraints on providing funding to organizations so long as those organizations fit the philanthropic interests of the Board and meet IRS requirements. The Foundation, however, does not fund organizations which engage in religious or political advocacy. The Foundation favors general operating support grants and assists work throughout the United States.

Policy on Unsolicited Requests for Funding
All funding provided by the Foundation originate with the philanthropic interests of the family and approved by the Board of Directors. The Foundation is unable to consider unsolicited proposals.
